ABOUT US
Hillview Hosta is located in rural Jones County Iowa. We offer field grown Hosta, ferns and a few shade loving perennials. Varieties are limited, but we are adding new varieties every year. The list of Hosta isn't all inclusive as there are some varieties that are very limited not listed.
All plants for sale are tolerant of the toxin, Juglone,
that is in Black Walnuts.
Chris started selling Hosta at Cedar Rapids area Farmers Markets in 2013, that came to a screeching halt in 2020. The decision was made to offer the Hosta from the field allowing gardeners to choose their plant and see what mature plants look like growing in the display beds. We enjoy visiting with the customers and encourage you to drive a bit to view the plants and hopefully you'll you'll take home some new plants to your garden. 98% of the plants offered have been growing for 3 + years and have come from reputable wholesalers in Michigan and North Carolina.
